A breath-taking 20th Century statement ring adorned with a spectacular square step cut aquamarine weighing approx. 6 carats. It has a beautiful ocean blue hue with linear facets that glimmer and flash like sunlight across a clear pool.
Aquamarine derives its name from its calming, clear blue/ green colouring that emulates the beauty of a tropical ocean or icy glacial waters. It was once believed to be the treasure of Mermaids and is said to bring happiness, good fortune and eternal youth.
The principal stone is claw set in a stunning Art Deco inspired gallery modelled in 18ct white gold with geometric shoulders lined with milgrain and dotted with twinkling brilliant cut diamonds and two step cuts (approx. 1ct total).
