Vintage Mabe Pearl Diamond Cocktail Ring
This magnificent mid-century pearl diamond cocktail ring boasts an impressive Mabe pearl centrepiece, with a bright sheen and rich creamy tone. It sits in an ornate 18ct white gold gallery, with scrolled flourishes and petal motifs around the back and is complemented by a trio of claw set brilliant cut diamonds that catch the light on either side (approx. 0.90ct total).
Pearls are the birthstone of June and a true treasure of the ocean. Mabe Pearls are found on the inner shell of molluscs and are desired for their size and bright, lustrous tone which is often associated with the beauty of the moon and worn as a symbol of beauty, femininity, and grace.
This exceptional vintage pearl diamond cocktail ring is complete with an 18ct owl mark on the outside of the band, indicating it was imported and assayed in France and would make an outstanding statement piece, with its broad gallery and striking gemstones standing tall atop the finger, effortlessly catching the light and the eye of everyone in its vicinity.
