A remarkable vintage aquamarine diamond ring, made in London in 1950. The impressive emerald cut aquamarine weighs approx. 6 carats and has a particularly high table and clear, ocean-blue hue. It’s set in an 18ct white gold four prong mount with spectacular, stepped shoulders flaring out on either side, edged with milgrain and decorated with fourteen bright brilliant cut diamonds, totalling approx. 0.70ct.

Aquamarine is the birthstone of March. It derives its name from its tranquil, clear blue/ green colouring that emulates the beauty of a tropical ocean or icy glacial waters. It was once believed to be the treasure of Mermaids and is said to bring happiness, good fortune and eternal youth.

This is an exceptional mid-Century statement ring, fully hallmarked within the band and bestowed with a magnificent aquamarine and diamonds that are sure dazzle and impress.

We recommend you insure for £3,500. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
