Vintage Aquamarine Diamond Cluster Ring 5.5ct Aqua
A magnificent Edwardian-revival aquamarine cluster ring, paying homage to the show-stopping statement jewels of the early 1900s. At its heart sits a glorious claw-set oval aquamarine (approx. 5.5ct), with glittering facets and a crystalline sea-blue glow. It is haloed by fourteen antique old European cut diamonds, reclaimed and re-set into a new 18ct yellow gold gallery during the late 20th century. Each diamond weighs approximately 0.10ct (1.5ct total), graded SI1 clarity - H colour, with two additional diamonds sparkling on each shoulder.
Aquamarine is the birthstone of March and derives its name from its tranquil, clear blue/ green colouring that is said to bring about happiness and good fortune. It pairs beautifully with the glittering sparkle of diamonds, together arousing images of the sun glittering on the surface of a crystal-clear ocean.
Whether chosen as a landmark aquamarine engagement ring or a bold cocktail ring, this cluster ring offers the enchanting, hand-cut sparkle of old antique diamonds combined with a more sturdy and refined crown setting, effortlessly bridging two centuries of glamour into one breath-taking piece.
