A delightful Antique Salamander brooch from the late Victorian era (Circa 1890). Its back, head and tail are pave set with stripes of Turquoise stones and Pearls with red Ruby eyes.
Turquoise are a lovely opaque stone with a calming blue/ green colour that was considered a symbol of friendship and said to bring good fortune.
The piece is fashioned in 15ct Yellow Gold and complete with a safety chain for added security when worn. It is a wonderful, colourful design and highly collectable.
