ANTIQUE VICTORIAN LOCKET STERLING SILVER GOLD FORGETS ME NOTS AND IVY CIRCA 1880
An exquisite Antique late Victorian locket fashioned in Sterling Silver with beautiful, engraved patterning across the front and a golden frame with Silver balls surrounding it.
Forget me nots and Ivy can also be seen highlighted in Rose and Yellow Gold on the front. They carry a long-lasting symbolism of love and remembrance and were, therefore, popular motifs on lockets containing images of loved ones.
The piece is complete with maker’s initials (J&.F.S) on the back along with hallmarks which have faded over time but indicate it was made in Birmingham in the late 1800s.
It’s in pristine condition and complete with rims and windows within so two cherished photographs can be inserted and kept close to the heart.
