Antique Victorian Guilloche Enamel Heart Pendant Diamond Snake And Locket
A beautiful antique Victorian heart pendant from the late 19th Century covered in a glossy, deep indigo-blue guilloche enamel across the front with a subtle wave pattern. It’s topped with a bezel set old mine cut diamond (approx. 0.20ct) with a gold snake coiling around it.
Serpents were a popular romantic token during the Victorian era and symbolised a wonderful combination of love, loyalty and friendship, with their coiled shape representing eternity.
It’s modelled in 18ct gold and features a small heart locket on the reverse complete with its original rim and window so a cherished photograph or lock of hair can be interested and kept forever close to your heart. It’s a remarkable antique find, very rare and in pristine condition.
We recommend you insure for £4,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
