A grand antique Victorian guard chain made up of fancy, faceted solid Gold links with larger links marked with a star along the length.
It is fitted with a trigger clasp at the end which may have been used to attach a pocket watch or a cylinder of fur known as a Muff to keep the wearers hands warm in winter.
Modelled in solid 9ct Yellow Gold this long chain is a lovely weight and can be worn as one long chain or wrapped two to three times around the neck.
