Antique Victorian Garnet Dropper Necklace 9ct Gold
This glamorous antique Victorian garnet dropper necklace is fashioned in 9ct yellow gold and adorned with nineteen graduating droppers; claw set with forty cushion cut garnets. The stones weigh between 0.50 – 2ct each and exhibit a deep red-wine hue.
Garnet is the birthstone of January and has been desired throughout history for its strength and blazing crimson-red or cherry-pink flame that glows beneath its dark exterior. It’s considered a stone of the heart and is symbolic of passion and enduring love.
This is a fabulous Victorian necklace, from the late 19th Century, showcasing a luxurious collection of natural garnets, suspended from a fine 9ct gold curb link chain, secured by a tube clasp and safety chain at the end.
We recommend you insure for £2,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
