Antique Victorian French Trembler Flower Brooch Paste Stone Silver Circa 1900
A spectacular antique French brooch from the early 20th Century depicting a bouquet of flowers decorated with old cut Paste Stones which simulate the sparkle and beauty of Diamonds. The brooch is expertly made with overlaid leaves and petals that give it a three-dimensional effect as if the flowers are blossoming out naturally. The largest flower is known as a trembler which sticks out from the gallery and vibrates on a hinge creating a fabulous tremble effect which was popular during this time. The piece is all Silver, fitted with a large pin at the back and features French hallmarks beneath. It would look beautiful pinned to a lapel and is a perfect statement piece.
