Antique Victorian French Sapphire Diamond Shamrock Bangle 18ct Gold
A remarkable antique French bangle from the late 19th Century claw set with a deep blue cushion cut sapphire in the centre (approx. 0.45ct) accompanied by a sparkling old mine cut diamond above and below (approx. 0.20ct each).
Two high-relief shamrocks can also be seen wrapping beautifully around the front of the band, each leaf representing faith, hope and love, with six twinkling rose cut diamonds dotted in between.
The overlapping band is all 18ct gold with a lovely matt finish. It’s remained in pristine condition and is fitted with a safety chain and box clasp at the side, complete with French gold hallmarks.
