ANTIQUE VICTORIAN FRENCH GARLAND NECKLACE SILVER OLD CUT PASTE CIRCA 1860 BOXED
An extraordinary antique French Garland necklace dating Circa 1860. The glamorous piece is decorated with twenty-nine beautiful old cut Paste droppers which sparkle bright like a cascade of Diamonds.
These are some of the finest Paste stones we have ever exhibited for sale. The largest is approx. 4ct alone hanging from the central dropper with a total of around 80ct across the piece.
The necklace is crafted in Sterling Silver and each link articulates beautifully. It is fitted with a secure box clasp crowned with a large Paste and complete with French hallmarks.
This is a truly outstanding piece and looks magnificent shimmering bright around the neck. It is accompanied by a large green box from ‘Bruford and Heming’ which is not original to the piece but an exquisite place to store it.
We recommend you insure for £3,500. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
