Boasting an estimated 2.15 carats of dazzling brilliance, this grand antique Victorian five-stone diamond ring is truly a sight to behold. Crafted in solid 18ct yellow gold, it features five spectacular old mine cut diamonds, graduating from approx. 0.20ct to a striking 0.70ct centre stone, with smaller diamonds nestled in-between. Each stone is set in platinum upon an ornate carved half-hoop gallery, finished with Rococo-inspired scrollwork flowing down the shoulders and sides.

In the romantic language of the 1800s, a five-stone band symbolised the pillars of a lasting union: Love, Commitment, Trust, Communication, and Empathy. The old cut diamonds, with their high crowns and chunky facets, glow with a soft, candlelit fire that is not seen in modern cuts and speak to eternity, strength and unwavering devotion, making this an especially meaningful token of enduring love.

Dating to the late 19th Century, this is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Victorian history that has remained in excellent condition. Its design is perfect for stacking but will also look breath-taking worn solo as a statement or engagement ring with the exceptional natural diamonds sparkling at bright today as they have done for over 120 years.

We recommend you insure for £8,500. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
