A stunning antique Victorian diamond five-stone ring, set with five chunky old mine-cut diamonds interspersed with smaller twinkling stones in-between. The main five range from 0.10 to 0.22 carats (approximately 1ct total) and are full of fiery brilliance, graded SI1 clarity, I–J colour. They rest proudly in an ornate 18ct yellow gold carved half-hoop gallery, adorned with elegant, scrolled engraving along the sides.

During the 19th century, old mine-cut diamonds were prized for their hand-cut facets and romantic glow, designed to dance beautifully by candlelight. They may be less uniform than modern cuts, but their rugged aesthetic and distinctive fire are unlike any machine-cut stones made today and evoke the romance and skilled craftsmanship of a bygone era.

A true Victorian treasure, this diamond five-stone ring dates to the late 19th Century and has remained in exceptional condition, its five natural hand-cut diamonds shimmering endlessly across the top of the finger, catching the eye of all in its vicinity.
