Dating to the late 19th century, this exquisite antique Victorian coral diamond pendant necklace showcases a beautiful cluster of seven natural coral beads, each displaying a soft peach hue, crowned with a twinkling rose cut diamond star on top. Crafted in warm 15ct yellow gold, the pendant is framed by a fancy, coiling frame, with a secret round locket on the reverse, complete with a gold rim and window, ready to house a cherished photograph or even a lock of hair.

Formed over thousands of years in the depths of the ocean by tiny marine invertebrates known as polyps, coral has long been treasured as a symbol of purity, protection, and passion. Its vibrant palette of pinks, oranges, and reds offers a striking alternative to other ocean-born gems such as pearls, imbuing each piece with warmth and vitality.

This remarkable Victorian coral pendant remains in pristine condition and is accompanied by its original silky snake chain, also masterfully crafted in 15ct yellow gold. Additional polished coral beads are interspersed along the length, leading to an engraved tube clasp that completes the piece. A rare and distinctive antique find, it stands as a beautiful testament to Victorian artistry.
