Antique Edwardian Opal Diamond Ring 2.4ct Opal Dated 1906
A grand antique Edwardian carved half hoop ring adorned with three natural opal cabochons weighing 1ct in the centre, 0.70ct on either side (approx. 2.4ct total). They display a vibrant rainbow of colours and are complemented by four twinkling old mine cut diamonds nestled in between (approx. 0.32ct total).
Opal is the birthstone of October. Their magic has been revered throughout history, desired for their enchanting rainbow of greens, pinks and blues that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet earth or the aurora borealis, with a burning orange sunset glowing behind.
The gallery is modelled in 18ct gold with scrolled engraving down the sides, creating a fabulous platform for the stones to sit on. It’s very eye-catching and complete with the maker’s mark and Chester hallmarks within the band, dating it to 1906.
We recommend you insure for £3,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
