A spectacular antique Edwardian cluster ring built around a spellbinding natural opal cabochon weighing approx. 8ct. It exhibits an incandescent rainbow of colours with intense orange, green, blue and red flashes that shimmer across the surface.

It’s bordered by sixteen sparkling brilliant cut diamonds with three smaller stones chasing down each shoulder. They have superb SI clarity – H/I colour and total approx. 1.34ct.

Opal is the birthstone of October. Their magic has been revered throughout history, desired for their enchanting rainbow of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet earth or the aurora borealis, with a burning orange sunset glowing behind.

The gallery is crafted in platinum and the stones are set in milgrain collet settings with a fabulous, pierced gallery behind. It’s a magnificent statement piece and the opal is certainly one of the finest we have ever exhibited for sale.

We recommend you insure for £4,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
