Antique Victorian Pearl Flower Lavaliere Pendant Necklace 15ct Gold

Gleaming with an abundance of natural pearls, this fabulous Victorian floral lavaliere necklace is a beautiful antique treasure. Fashioned in a sunny 15ct yellow gold, the piece features an articulated gallery of pearl-studded flowers and ivy leaves across the bottom that branch out to join a fine cable chain and ring clasp at the top.  

The crowning feature is a fabulous, open-work flower pendant suspended from the bottom, with heart-shaped petals, also decorated with lustrous pearls and a central diamond on top. In addition to the loop, it’s also fitted with a pin and locking trombone catch on the reverse, so it can be detached from the necklace and worn separately as a brooch or on the end of a chain as a pendant. 

Pearls are the birthstone of June and symbolic of purity, love and loyalty. Their bright, creamy lustre was often paired with flowers and ivy in the 19th Century, both popular romantic motifs representing enduring love and fidelity.
