Antique Victorian Table Cut Diamond Cluster Ring 1ct Total
Glittering gracefully with a multitude of expertly cut facets, this dainty antique Victorian diamond cluster ring is an enchanting find. The crown jewel, a chunky old cushion/ table cut diamond with a large, flat facet on top, giving it a distinct aesthetic and sparkle. It weighs approx. 0.60 carats on its own and is set in a pronounced bezel mount within a square frame of smaller, round single cut diamonds that also chase down each shoulder (approx. 1ct total).
During the 18th and 19th Century, old cut diamonds were considered the highest standard with skilfully hand-cut facets that were said to gently dance by candlelight. It may be considered less refined and flashy by modern standards, but their rugged aesthetic and distinctive fire are unlike any machine-cut stones made today and evoke the romance and skilled craftsmanship of a bygone era.
This elegant Victorian diamond cluster ring is fashioned in 18ct gold and has developed an attractive rosy hue with age. It’s perfect for everyday wear and would make a gorgeous antique engagement ring, with a dazzling collection of old diamonds that have sparkled endlessly since the late 19th Century.
