This exquisite antique Victorian harlequin bracelet features nine multi-coloured cushion and oval-cut gemstones, including yellow citrine, purple amethyst, red garnet, pink quartz and green, pink, white and blue sapphire. The smallest stones weigh approximately 2ct, graduating to a 4.5ct centre stone. They’re securely claw-set within 18ct yellow gold frames, connecting to a silky curb-link chain at the back, finished with a box clasp and safety chain.

Harlequin jewellery takes its inspiration from the vibrant, patchwork costumes of the 16th-century Commedia dell’arte performers. The style became highly fashionable in the 19th century, celebrated for its playful yet luxurious use of multi-coloured gemstones.

Dating to the late 19th century, this Victorian harlequin bracelet is expertly made and in excellent condition, offering a lively rainbow of colourful gemstones that will add a fabulous pop of sparkle and colour to any outfit. We recommend you insure for £5,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
