Antique Victorian Opal Diamond Ring Dated 1886
Made in Birmingham in 1886, this gorgeous antique Victorian opal diamond ring is set with a trio of natural opal cabochons (approx. 1.4ct total), with four twinkling old mine cut diamonds nestled in-between (approx. 0.28ct total). The opals emit vibrant flashes of green, blue, and orange and are flush set in a sunny 18ct yellow gold gallery that’s lovely and smooth and sits flat against the finger, wrapping comfortably around it.
Opal is the birthstone of October and is considered a stone of luck, creativity, and passion. A jewel of liquid fire, its enchanting spectrum of colours pair beautifully with the brightness of diamonds, creating a captivating display, reminiscent of the Aurora Borealis dancing across a starry sky.
This glorious Victorian opal diamond ring is fully hallmarked within the band and has remained in pristine condition, with the vivid opals and twinkling diamonds beautifully showcasing their brilliance across the top of the finger.
