An impressive antique Victorian statement ring built around a large oval cut amethyst in the centre, weighing approx. 7.2 carats. It has a deep, regal purple hue and is framed in an ornate, cannetille style gallery encircled with gold beading, forget me nots and ten old mine cut diamonds, totalling approx. 0.50ct.

Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.

The piece is modelled entirely in 18ct gold with detailed workmanship across the front and split, Fleur de Lis shoulders leading into the band. It’s truly magnificent and is sure to leave an impression.
