Antique Victorian Etruscan Revival Collar Necklace 15ct Gold

A grand antique Victorian Etruscan revival collar from the late 1800s crafted entirely in 15ct gold with a bright yellow gold bloom. The intricate, interwoven links flow and articulate smoothly together and have been ornamented with decorative Etruscan style metalwork with golden balls along the top and border. 

Etruscan revival pieces were crafted in the late 1800s after ancient Etruscan jewellery was unearthed in tombs outside of Rome, beginning a fascination with the style and giving birth to these beautiful pieces which were crafted in the same grand and elaborate fashion.  

The collar displays outstanding workmanship throughout and is a testament to the skill of the original Victorian jeweller. It looks beautiful wrapped around the neck and is held securely by a large bolt ring clasp at the end.
