Art Deco Aquamarine Diamond Drop Earrings 18ct Gold 6.5ct Aquas
A glamorous pair of Art Deco aquamarine diamond drop earrings, fashioned in 18ct white gold, with two large emerald cut aquamarines dangling at the bottom (approx. 6.5ct each), complemented by five bright brilliant cut diamonds along each long dropper (approx. 0.70ct total). The aquas are claw set in chunky frames, with scrolling motifs down the sides and exhibit a tranquil, icy-blue hue and expertly cut facets that glitter beautifully in the light.
Aquamarine is the birthstone of March and derives its name from its tranquil, clear blue/ green colouring that emulates the beauty of a tropical ocean or icy glacial waters. It is said to bring happiness and good fortune and pairs beautifully with the glittering sparkle of diamonds, together arousing images of the sun glittering on the surface of a crystal-clear ocean.
These striking Art Deco aquamarine diamond earrings date to the 1920s and look fabulous framing the face, swinging freely from each ear, effortlessly catching the light and the eye. They’re in excellent condition and fitted with secure butterfly stud backs.
