A stylish antique Victorian Albert chain from the late 19th Century made up of 15ct gold trombone links interspersed with four natural pearls. It’s complete with a classic T-bar at the bottom and two claw clasps at the top, stamped 15ct.

Albert chains are named after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s consort and were traditionally worn by gentlemen to secure a pocket watch to the buttonhole of a waistcoat. Today, they are also worn as stylish necklaces; a custom that was started by the wives of soldiers during the first world war who wore the chains as a keepsake in the hope they’d return home safely.

It's a good quality antique chain measuring 17 inches and can be worn as a traditional Albert or as a beautiful necklace.
