Antique Art Deco Diamond Earrings Night And Day 2.9ct Total
A stunning and versatile pair of antique Art Deco diamond night and day earrings encrusted with a dazzling array of old mine cut diamonds that are exceptionally bright, graded SI1 clarity – I colour. The largest weigh approx. 0.20 and 0.40ct, bringing the total across both to approx. 2.9 carats. They’re set in ornate 18ct white gold galleries, edged with milgrain and the dropper section can be removed so that they can also be worn as simple daisy-shaped studs.
In the early 20th Century, “Night and Day” earrings were a popular trend and cleverly designed to transition from daytime elegance to evening glamour. The studs could be worn alone for a refined daytime look, and decorative droppers could be added for a more dramatic, sparkling style suitable for the evening.
These eye-catching Art Deco diamond drop earrings date to Circa 1920 and reflect the innovative spirit and outstanding glamour of the roaring 20s, with a dazzling display of natural diamonds performing at the front. The stud fittings don’t currently have backs, but a suitable pair will be provided.
