An extravagant antique late Georgian statement ring claw set with three shimmering natural mother of pearls across the centre with a border of smaller Pearls and twinkling diamonds.

Mother of Pearl, also known as Nacre, is found on the inner shell of molluscs and is desired for its size and enchanting, iridescent shimmer. They have been worn for centuries as a symbol of beauty, femininity, and grace and are believed to soothe emotions and bring peace to one’s mind.

The elaborate, elongated face is all silver and backed in 18ct gold which has developed a rosy hue with age. It’s an extraordinary statement piece and in excellent condition.
