A remarkable Georgian cluster ring adorned with a regal oval cut amethyst in the centre with a soft violet hue. It weighs approx. 4.5ct and is framed by a double ring of twinkling old rose cut diamonds, totalling approx. 0.85ct. 

Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels. 

The gallery dates to the early 19th Century and is fashioned in 18ct gold with an ornately engraved band at the back that may have been added over time. A magnificent statement piece displaying exquisite Georgian workmanship and a gorgeous gallery of gems on top.
