A wonderful antique Scottish Mourning locket from the Victorian era featuring beautiful engraved artistry on both sides with floral motifs displayed around lovely Jasper and Carnelian stones.

The locket opens up to reveal beautiful plaited hair underneath a protective window. Mourning jewellery commonly featured the hair of a loved one so that a piece of them was always kept close to their heart.

The locket is set in Silver and gilded in 9ct Yellow Gold. It would look lovely on a Gold chain and is one to be treasured for generations to come.
