Antique Edwardian Opal Diamond Drop Earrings Platinum With Box
These glamorous antique Edwardian opal diamond drop earrings were made in Belfast by “Sharman D Neill Ltd” during the early 20th Century and are fashioned in platinum with two colourful natural opal cabochons adorning the bottom (approx. 1.4ct each), haloed by twinkling old cut diamonds. Each long dropper is edged with milgrain and encrusted with further diamonds, with two more crowned on top (approx. 1.5ct total across both).
Opal is the birthstone of October and is considered a stone of luck, creativity, and passion. Its enchanting spectrum of fiery colours contrasts beautifully with the brightness of diamonds, creating a captivating display reminiscent of the Aurora Borealis dancing across a starry sky.
These fabulous Edwardian opal diamond drop earrings are fitted with secure lever-back hooks and swing freely from each ear. They look wonderful framing the face and are accompanied by their original brown leatherette box, featuring a gold trim and a black velvet interior, with the maker’s insignia displayed proudly on cream silk under the lid.
