An elegant antique Edwardian lavaliere necklace adorned with a beautiful Art Nouveau pendant decorated with twinkling old cut diamonds (approx. 0.80ct total) and a vibrant blue cushion cut Ceylon sapphire at its heart weighing approx. 1ct. It’s accompanied by a detailed sapphire certification which verifies the stone is natural with some heat treatment and originates from Sri Lanka.

The Sri-Lankan sapphire, or “Ceylon” sapphire has been a favourite of kings and royalty throughout history and was regarded as a stone of truth, wisdom and strength. It’s valued for its striking royal blue colouring which tends to be brighter and more vibrant than most other sapphires.

The pendant is a union of platinum and 18ct gold and has a wonderful open-work design with flowing curves and foliate motifs edged with milgrain. It’s a striking piece and fitted with a fine platinum chain and a pin at the back so it can also be worn as a brooch.

We recommend you insure for £4,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
