Antique Victorian Amethyst Diamond Bangle 15ct Gold
Bestowed with a magnificent violet amethyst, this regal antique Victorian amethyst diamond bangle is a remarkable antique treasure. Weighing approx. 9 carats, the round, violet amethyst makes a striking focal point and is further enhanced by a flickering halo of flat rose cut diamonds around the outside, totalling approx. 1ct.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of clarity, protection and wisdom. Its deep purple-violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
The piece is crafted in 15ct yellow gold, which has developed a lovely patina over time and consists of three connected bands, held together by a secure box clasp and safety chain at the side. The large, amethyst gallery features a silver border and pierced workmanship around the sides and is crowned proudly atop the band for all to see.
This outstanding Victorian amethyst bangle dates to the late 19th Century and exemplifies the sophistication and skilful craftsmanship of the period. It’s in excellent condition and a true statement piece, flaunting a remarkable, natural amethyst that is sure to be admired wherever it’s worn.
