Antique Victorian Rollerball Albert Chain 9ct Gold

A luxurious antique Victorian Albert chain, consisting of solid 9ct gold curb links and faceted rollerball links that glide effortlessly over the skin, glittering as they catch the light. Each link is verified with a “375/ 9ct” stamp and has a warm, yellow gold bloom.

Albert chains were both a fashionable and practical accessory for a gentleman in the 19th Century, often adorned with a pocket watch or fob and secured to the buttonhole of a waistcoat for quick access. Today they’re also worn as versatile and stylish necklaces; a custom started by the wives of soldiers during WW1 who wore the chains as a keepsake.

This heavy Victorian rollerball chain dates to the late 19th Century and is complete with its original claw clasps. It will add a lovely touch of antique glamour to your everyday style and is perfect worn solo or layered with other gold chains from your collection.
