Antique Edwardian Suffragette Necklace Silver Paste Pearl Circa 1910


This Antique Edwardian Silver Suffragette Paste necklace was made Circa 1910. The necklace is complimented by a mixture of purple and green Paste Stones, with lustrous Pearl nested in-between, which is all original to the necklace.

Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine. Their jewellery was chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking. Green is for give, White is for women and Violet is for votes.

It looks fabulous when worn, it would be perfect for a special occasion.

It weighs 34 grams.

The necklace measures 16.5 inches.

The pendant measures 30mm across x 50mm down.
