Antique Victorian Suffragette Diamond Pendant Viscountess Rhondda


This fabulous antique Diamond Suffragette pendant is late Victorian, Circa 1900

The image in the centre depicts Sybil Margaret Thomas, Viscountess Rhondda who was a British suffragette, feminist and philanthropist. In the 1890’s Sybil became president of the Welsh Union of Women’s Liberal Associations, which was strongly feminist and pro-female suffrage.

Belonging too Anne Eliza Fell, wife of George Augustus Haig. On the reverse of the pendant it is engraved … ‘Anne Eliza Fell Wife of G A Haig Penithon Born 31.5.1822 Died 9.4.1894’

This pendant has been hand painted under crystal, it really is a remarkable find

Adorned with over 2ct of Old Cut Diamonds which are SI 1 clarity and H Colour

All set in 18ct Yellow Gold and Silver

A highly prized piece of history and a true collectors piece

Weighs 14.5 grams

Measures 47mm in length including the bale or 37mm without the bale x 35mm across
