A marvellous pair of 1980s drop earrings made in the Art Deco fashion with striking geometric shapes and patterns, decorated with glistening brilliant cut diamonds (approx. 3ct total) and gorgeous pear cut emerald droppers suspended in the centre (approx. 1.5ct each).

The Romans considered the Emerald to be the sacred stone of the goddess Venus and it was said to preserve love and provide hope. Its natural green colouring also makes it a stone of springtime and is associated with eternal love and faithfulness.

The pair are fashioned in 18ct white gold and dotted with milgrain around the edges. They’re fitted with butterfly stud backs and complete with London hallmarks along the post, dating them to 1989.

They’d be perfect for a glamorous occasion and are a fabulous Deco design that truly encapsulates the beauty and charm of the 1920s.

We recommend you insure for £7,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
