Vintage Opal Diamond Cocktail Ring 20ct Opal 2ct Diamond
A spectacular 1930s cocktail ring built around an enormous natural opal, weighing approx. 20ct. It displays a rainbow of vibrant colours dancing under the surface and is complemented by a halo of twenty bright, clean brilliant cut diamonds with superb SI 1 clarity – H colour (approx. 0.10ct each, 2ct total).
The magic of opals has been revered throughout history. Its enchanting rainbow of vibrant colours shimmer and intensify with the light as ethereal greens, pinks and blues flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet earth or the aurora borealis, with a burning orange sunset glowing behind.
The piece is all 18ct gold with a domed, open-work under gallery creating a magnificent platform that crows the stones high and proud atop the finger. It’s a breath-taking statement piece and is sure to turn heads.
