A remarkable mid-Century French cocktail ring boasting a magnificent cushion cut Ceylon sapphire at its heart weighing an estimated 12.5 carats. It has an intense royal blue hue and is accompanied by a detailed sapphire report which indicates it’s of Sri-Lankan origin and is all natural with no signs of heat treatment.

The Sri Lankan sapphire, or “Ceylon” sapphire has been a favourite of kings and royalty throughout history and was regarded as a stone of truth, wisdom and strength. It’s valued for its striking royal blue colouring which tends to be brighter and more vibrant than most other sapphires.

The principal stone is bezel set upon a sizable 18ct white gold gallery and encircled by a dazzling collection of pave set brilliant cut diamonds which are bright and full of life with excellent VS/SI clarity – H colour (approx. 4ct total). It’s bordered by milgrain and features scrolling motifs around the under gallery and a French 18ct eagle hallmark on the outside of the band.

This is one of the most impressive rings we have ever exhibited for sale, showcasing an extraordinary and rare sapphire, accompanied by an array of stunning diamonds that are truly breathtaking to behold.

We recommend you insure for £33,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
