A magnificent antique Victorian carved half hoop ring adorned with three large step-cut emeralds and four old European cut diamonds which are all natural and detailed in the accompanying gem certification.

The emeralds have a bright, vivid green hue and weigh approx. 1.47ct in the centre with 0.80ct stones on either side (3.07ct total). The diamonds complement them beautifully and have SI1 clarity – I/J colour and total approx. 0.44ct.

Emerald is the birthstone of May. The Romans considered it to be the sacred stone of the goddess Venus and said to preserve love and provide hope. Its natural green colouring also makes it a stone of springtime and is associated with eternal love and faithfulness.

The gems are set in a solid 18ct gold gallery with exquisite, scrolled engraving down the sides and Birmingham hallmarks within the band dating the piece to the year 1900.

It’s an outstanding statement ring, extremely rare and in excellent condition with a gorgeous collection of natural gems that look stunning spread over the finger.

We recommend you insure for £13,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
